St.Ives and friends

The small Cornish town of St.Ives is synonymous with modern British art and is home to the western outpost of the Tate Gallery, the Barbara Hepworth Studio and the Leach Pottery as well as being a great place to visit. Although the highpoint was arguably the 1939-1964 period covered by the Tate's own eponymous exhibition some years ago, it is clear that this place has stamped its identity on the world of British art right up to today. Here are a few volumes that highlight the artists who lived and worked there, and others who are connected as part of the scene St.Ives represented.
