Paolozzi was a key part of the generation of British sculptors who, in the 1950s and 1960s, took the world by storm. His own work drew on an immense range of sources, and the works he produced, across sculpture, collage, design, printmaking and film, has an incredible vibrancy which does not feel dated at all.
