Condition: A very good first edition copy, signed and dedicated by the author, with the original dust wrapper. one or two very minor chips and nicks to the edges of the wrapper, and the residue of a price sticker to the verso; internally very clean and complete. Extensively illustrated in black and white, also several tipped in colour plates.

The absolute cornerstone of scholarship on Wyndham Lewis, one of the great figures of early c20th British art. Although it is now well over fifty years old, this catalogue raisonne is still a must have volume and for anyone interested in Lewis and the maelstrom of vigorous modern thought that surrounded him in the period before WWI, it can't really be beaten. Lewis of course had a career that carried on much longer and his work, both painted and written, can be very divisive, but a perusal of this book reminds us just what a good painter and draughtsman he could be. 

Nicely signed by the author, this is as clean a copy of this as I have seen for some time.
