Produced to accompany a large exhibition at Dublin’s Irish Museum of Modern Art which marked a step in the reappraisal of Scott’s work. The catalogue is filled with great images and interesting and useful texts.
Presented in the large spaces of the IMMA, Scott's works looked majestic and very contemporary. The exhibition took place at a time when the Irish art market was very active, reflecting a buoyant and confident economy, and Scott, as the leading Irish artist of the decades after WWII, was very much in demand.
A well-designed catalogue that has plenty of informative text as well as plentiful illustrations, this is one of the central volumes for any collector, professional or enthusiast who deals with Scott's work.
