Condition: Printed card covers, some minor handling marks; internally clean and tidy. Illustrated in black and white throughout

A very useful volume, it documents nineteen of Stubb's prints in some detail, as well as including an essay about his printmaking practice. The author was a great expert on Stubbs, and indeed it was largely through his championing of the painter, supported by the collecting of Paul Mellon, that he was returned to a prime place amongst British artists of the c18th.
