Condition: The two volume hardback, first edition, with the original unclipped printed dust wrappers over gilt-embossed black boards. Light shelf-wear to the wrappers, a couple of chips and nicks to the wrapper of Vol.II. Internally, both volumes are in excellent condition, a bookseller's annotation in pencil to the first floating endpaper of Vol.I. Illustrated in black and white throughout Vol.II.
