Picasso is often thought of now as primarily a painter, yet not only is sculpture an important part of his output, he was also incredibly good at it! This 1967 catalogue published to accompany a major Tate Gallery exhibition was a big one, with over 250 exhibits across the different media, and although it is largely illustrated in black and white, the sheer breadth of vision and amazing inventiveness bounces out of every page.
Hugely influential on several generations of British artists, Picasso remains one of the giants of the c20th. The long introductory essay by Roland Penrose, a long-time friend of the artist, is also well worth reading.
