Causey's monograph and catalogue raisonne is still the bedrock of Nash studies and should be on the shelf of every serious collector or professional with an interest in the artist. Filled with essential information on bibliography, exhibition history and pictures in public collections, as well as Causey's insightful writing on Nash, it does sometimes show its age but is unlikely to be surpassed.
