Pallant House seem to have come up with another winning exhibition - British Landscapes: A Sense of Place looks to be a fascinating overview of this strand of British art and is particularly strong in relation to Modern British artists. Condition: As usual, the cover of this catalogue is slightly rubbed, otherwise in very good, almost unread condition.

An underrated artist, George's 1980 Serpentine Gallery retrospective should have seen him appreciated by a wider audience, but unlike peers such as Uglow, Auerbach and Andrews, he remained relatively in the shadows until recently. His very distinctive take on landscape in particular is now seen by many as a significant statement in the genre.
