Trevor Dannatt (1920-2021) was an architect, artist and photographer who was very much part of the modernist circles in British architecture in the 40s, 50s and 60s. This volume is a very comprehensive account of the development of modern architecture in Britain which provides an interesting take, given our current divergent opinions on these buildings, their longevity and success.
Designed by Colin Forbes, a pivotal figure in British graphic design in the post-war years, as both an influential teacher at Central School and later as one of the founders of Pentagram.
A useful volume for anyone looking at the social and artistic uses of architecture in the post-war period
