Condition: The first edition of the sixth volume in the series, this example has the original dust wrapper over the ivory linen and red embossed boards. The boards show a little foxing along the front edge. The wrapper is a little scuffed and chipped along the edges to the front and has a small tear to the top of the spine. The back of the wrapper has three tears including two areas of loss. Internally apparently complete, clean and tidy. Text in English and French
Part of the exhaustive series of eight volumes covering the works and career of one of the architectural titans of the c20th, this book looks at the 1952-1957 period and thus includes several international projects, including Chandigarh and La Chapelle de Ronchamp. Well illustrated with copious plans and photographs as well as extensive notes and quotes from Le Corbusier making this a very valuable document for the student of this period of architecture.
