This exhibition, at the Tate Gallery in 1983, coincided with Piper's 80th birthday and was a celebration of a long, varied, rich and popular artistic career. Within the production values of the day, this catalogue is rather a useful volume for anyone interested in the artist - lots of images, including plenty of colour, plenty of information and a really comprehensive look at the varied avenues of production across Piper's many decades as an artist.
