A beautifully produced catalogue documenting an exhibition at Hauser & Wirth London in 2008, this book looks at the relationship between Moore’s sketch ideas, often with multiple variants, and the eventual sculptures.
The exhibition display was designed by Zaha Hadid and the catalogue keeps to a very design-led style, even having a pleasing notebook kind of feel with the printed card covers and linen spine. Several drawings and sculptures are annotated with quotes from Mary Moore, the artist's daughter, and there are essays by Anne M.Wagner and Matthew Collings.
A very interesting catalogue which is a delight to peruse.
