Condition: A clean and apparently little-used copy of this important early Uglow catalogue. Very minor rubbing to the spine and edges of the cover, otherwise in very good condition.

Uglow's 1974 exhibition at the Whitechapel Gallery was his first major show in a public gallery and brought together work from the previous two decades. Having won the John Moores prize in 1972, Uglow had suddenly become much better known and this large presentation of almost eighty paintings and twenty drawings gave visitors an opportunity to see his work in depth. The exhibition also toured to Truro, Middlesbrough, Manchester and the University of Sussex
