A key text for the Hockney enthusiast, this book offered the artist's own thoughts on his life and work and is particularly illuminating in his discussions of how particular paintings came about as well as giving a very interesting insight into the artist's social circle and world.
A fascinating volume which adds an extra dimension to our understanding of the artist and his motivations and ideas as a painter.
