A key figure in the generation of designers who took 'Danish Modern' to the rest of the world, Mogensen's work has an informality and simplicity which still echoes through the contemporary furniture world. This London exhibition, in 1961 at the R.B.A. Galleries, was held alongside the sculptor Svend Wiig Hansen and the catalogue appears to be a very scarce item. The show was probably Mogensen's first solo showing in London, and may well have been the only one before his untimely death in 1972 at the age of 58.
