Artist: Ben Nicholson
Author: Peter Khoroche
Publisher: Lund Humphries
Date: 2002
Condition: A good copy, used but clean with some very minor handling marks. The dust wrapper is a little rubbed and, being white, is a little dirty in places. There are some very minor nicks to the edges of the wrapper, a small tear to the top of the spine of the wrapper and a slight crumple to the top of the back of wrapper.
A hugely enjoyable book, bringing Ben’s use of different media to life as well as revealing a good deal about the man himself. It has become very much a standard reference work on Nicholson and is a valuable and interesting addition to any Modern British library. Whilst the title suggests it is focussed on the drawings, there are many paintings illustrated and the biographical information and period photographs throughout Khoroche's very readable text make this a perfect book for someone who wants to extend their knowledge of this important British artist.
