Gimpel Fils' catalogues in the late 50s were filled with riches but often did not go overboard on production. Presuming perhaps that the catalogue was more to bring you to the gallery, the lists of works in them offer tantalising slivers of information and the occasional black and white image.

However, for the Nicholson aficionado, these slim volumes offer important corroboration of exhibition history as well as some stylish period design touches - the title page here is a delicious peach/tangerine colour
