Following Herbert Read’s 1952 publication on Hepworth, this monograph by Hodin was the next step in producing a catalogue of her work. A close friend of the artist, Hodin's writing is very perceptive and the volume is illustrated with some powerful black and white images of her sculpture, often with alternate views of particular pieces. A key volume for anyone interested in Hepworth's sculpture as well as very good way to become acquainted with the breadth of her work over the first four decades.
