Another favourite book of mine, I have referred to it many times over the years and found it a great source of information on a complex subject. Many of the artists were also painters or sculptors so seeing how they adapted their vision to the needs of a very different medium is fascinating. Well-illustrated and with extensive biographies of the artists included, this is a very useful volume.
