A follow-up to the 1956 exhibition, Ten Years of British Architecture '45-'55, this show focussed on the work produced in the very hectic period from 1955-61 and covered a huge range of buildings for many purposes. Designed by Dennis Bailey, the small square format with an abstract cover works well, and it includes several black and white photographs of the buildings listed, and of course these are of them either newly completed or still under construction. Thus even the most familiar looks rather different to how they have aged, and indeed I would imagine few of these buildings are still in their original configurations, if they have survived.
A rare catalogue, and an interesting peep into the brave new world of post-war British architectural thought
