Condition: A first edition hardback, with the original unclipped dust wrapper over the grey and black linen boards. the wrapper complete, a little tanned to the edges and with some minor chips along the edges. The top corners of the boards lightly bent. Internally very clean, tidy and unmarked

Published to accompany the major 1965 retrospective at MoMA, this rather beautifully produced catalogue is very rewarding. Illustrated throughout with colour and black and white images of the sculptures and paintings, there is an introduction by Peter Selz as well as a reproduction and translation of a long letter sent by Giacometti in 1947 to Pierre Matisse which includes several immediate sketches of his sculptures.
